How a Pahadi shaadi card is usually written
A Kumaoni or Garhwali invitation (nyut / nyaut) normally opens with a blessing — ॥ श्री गणेशाय नमः ॥ or the family deity such as Golu Devta, Nanda Devi or Badri Vishal — then names the parents who invite, the bride and groom with their parents' names, the lagan date and the venue. Many families add the Suwal Pathai, Byah (Byo in Garhwali), Barat and Bidai timings, and close with the names of grandparents and the whole family as darshanabhilashi.

Tips for a Kumaoni wedding invitation video
- Put the blessing line (Shri Ganesh, Golu Devta, Nanda Devi or Badri Vishal) on the first page; it reads well in large Devanagari.
- Keep each page to 2–4 short lines: guests read a video invitation on a phone in a few seconds.
- Write village and district names the way your family writes them; elders look for them.
- Add the lagan time and the Barat departure time on separate pages so nobody misses either.
