Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Video Invites (videoinvites.in), run by Deepak Mehra, handles personal data, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules.

1. What we collect

• Account details: when you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and profile picture link; with mobile sign-in we receive your phone number. We also keep an account ID from our sign-in provider and the time you last signed in.
• Invites you save: the text you type (for example names, dates, venues and phone numbers for RSVP), the design you used and your settings such as page order and backgrounds.
• Favourites: the designs you heart.
• Orders: design name, amount, date, payment status, your email and the order and payment IDs from Razorpay. We never receive your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or bank password.
• Technical data: our servers keep standard logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and to fix problems.

Not collected: photos, background images and songs you add in the editor are processed in your browser and are not uploaded to our servers. Videos you download are created on your device.

2. Why we use it

• To sign you in, save your drafts and show them in “My invites”.
• To take payments, unlock paid invites, keep accounting records and handle refunds.
• To answer your messages and send service messages about your orders.
• To keep the site secure and working, and to prevent fraud.

We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. Who we share it with

Only with service providers that help us run the site, and only as needed:

• Google Firebase Authentication: sign-in with Google or mobile OTP.
• Razorpay: payment processing.
• Microsoft Azure: hosting of our servers and database in India.
• Hostinger: our email.
• Google Fonts: fonts used by the site, loaded from Google's servers.

We may also disclose data when the law requires it, for example to a court or government authority.

4. Cookies and browser storage

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in (up to 30 days). Your browser's session storage briefly keeps unsaved edits while you sign in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our sign-in and payment providers may set their own cookies when you use them.

5. How long we keep it

• Account and saved invites: until you delete them or ask us to delete your account.
• Order and payment records: as long as tax and accounting laws require (usually up to 8 years), even if the invite is deleted.
• Server logs: a short period, unless needed to investigate a security issue.

6. Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw your consent, by emailing support@videoinvites.in from the email linked to your account (or giving your registered phone number). You can delete saved drafts yourself in My invites. We reply within 30 days. Deleting your account removes your drafts and favourites; order records we must keep by law are retained.

7. Security

Data is sent over HTTPS, the database is not reachable from the internet, sign-in sessions use secure cookies, and access to the admin panel is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

8. Children

The site is meant for adults planning an event. If you are under 18, use it with a parent or guardian.

9. Grievance Officer

For any complaint about your data or this site, contact our Grievance Officer: Deepak Mehra, support@videoinvites.in. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version; important changes will be shown on the site.
